David Guntrip
Financial Planning Consultant
David Guntrip joined Oakwood, bringing over 30 years of experience in financial services. He began his career in 1988 with Scottish Provident as a Trainee Broker Consultant, qualifying within six months and becoming one of the company’s youngest Broker Consultants, covering the East Midlands.
He subsequently held positions with Friends Provident, Prudential Holborn, and Scottish Equitable, before qualifying as an Independent Financial Adviser in 1997. He went on to work with Argent Insurance Brokers and Pearce Murphy Partnership in Leicester, before joining Throgmorton Asset Management Ltd as an Investment Adviser in 2006. In 2009, he became a Director at Holmes Investments.
David holds the Diploma for Financial Planning and advises on all aspects of financial planning, with particular expertise in supporting clients approaching retirement and those already in retirement.
David lives in Muston, with his wife, Linda and their three spaniels. He has three grown up children and 3 grandchildren. David enjoys the outdoors, walking his dogs and sea kayaking at the weekends.
